To Look At The Merchandise Click Here Question... I Uploaded/E-Mailed You A New Picture Why Do I Still See My Old One After Its Been Approved? Answer... Two Things Cause This.. Either You Use AOL Or Your Browser Is Set To Not Check The Website For New Versions Of The Page. Your Computer Has A Cache (Copy) On Your Computer With Your Old Image.. If You Go To Your Profile And Hit "Refresh" While Looking At It.. And If That Doesnt Work.. While Viewing Your Profile Hit "CTRL F5" Then Your New Picture Should Be There.. Sometimes This Works With AOL Users As Well.. But AOL Is A Bit More Fucked Up.. It May Or May Not Work.. But Your New Picture Is There.. So Dont E-Mail Or Upload The Same One 2-4 Times.. I May Just Start To Deny It. Question... I Use AOL And I Dont Get E-Mail Replies And Cant Use The Some Things On HG... Answer... If you use an @aol.com email address with your account at HG, you may not be recieving e-mail from us. Be assured, they are being sent out. AOL is just doing an embarrassingly bad job at filtering spam and classifying many legitimate messages as such and placing them in your spam folder. Or, in some cases, they're deleting these before you even recieve them. The only suggestion I have is to use a non-AOL address at HG or to check your spam folder for any messages from us and also configure your settings to specifically allow email from the hotgoth.net domain. You may call AOL tech support for help if you need it (they will probably try to pawn the problem off on everyone but themselves, but rest assured our server logs clearly show the full transactions with their mail servers and their servers are accepting our messages). An ISP should NOT be preventing you from recieving legitimate emails. False negatives are acceptable in the spam-filtering business, but false-positives are evil and unprofessional. A number of you have complained about this or asked me to personally email your passwords to you. Clearly, I can't do this because if the system notices are not getting to you - neither will a personally sent message. as for the rest of the site.. while on AOL.. use Internet Explorer to visit HG.. should work much better. Reason For That Is To Keep It Fair For All Memebers.. So No One Has A Lock In The Top 10 List.. You Will Notice On The Members Menu After You Click On "Home" It Will Look Like This: Image (Pending) That Means The Picture Did Upload.. And It Is Waiting For Me To Approve Or Deny It.. So Do Not Upload The Pic 4 Or 5 Times Thinking It Did Not Take Then E-Mail It To Me... After You Upload The Picture.. Click On "Home".. See If It Is Queued If You Did Not Get An Error While Trying To Upload It.. Now.. Within 72 Hours If You See Your Image Status Go From Queued To: Image (Inactive) This Means.. One Of Two Things.. Either When I Went To Approve The Picture That It Did Not Take Or You Tried To Send Me Something That Was Not A Picture Of You.. Such As... A Logo.. Drawing.. Website Or E-Mail Address In It.. Or Some Other Stupid Shit Rather Then A Picture Of Yourself.. If You Did Upload To The Site A Picture Of Yourself And It Was Denied.. Please E-Mail Your Picture To photo@hothoth.net With Your USER NAME And I Will Add It To Your Profile For You.. If You See This... Image (Approved) Then You Are Good To Go...
